Parenting is hard work! It can be frustrating and extremely draining, especially when you feel as if you have no control over your child. Attending therapy for parenting concerns or providing therapy for your child can provide you and your child with tools to improve behavioral problems, tantrums, emotional dysregulation and it can help to find solutions to on-going problems.
One of my passions is to work with families to create more rewarding parent-child relationships. In the past, I have worked in schools in the administrative side as well as a preschool teacher assistant in the classroom. Additionally, I have worked with children and parents in therapy to help them build stronger relationships, manage behavior, and increase the overall happiness of the family unit. My approach is to gain understanding of the reason why difficult behaviors arise and work with families to process, heal, and find alternative solutions to communicate what they want and need.
