Distressed couples can get stuck in painful cycles of communication leading to feelings of disconnection and dissatisfaction with their relationship. Couple's therapy can provide you and your significant other a safe space to openly share with one another and improve your communication skills, work through power struggles, and become closer emotionally and physically. Additionally, it can help you address any issues in your relationship such as sexual dissatisfaction, infidelity, parenting and financial disagreements.
My passion is to help couples build strong, loving, and meaningful connections. I work from an attachment perspective and have received and continue to receive post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is considered a gold standard in couple’s therapy. I work with couples struggling with a variety of issues—communication; lack of emotional connection, intimacy, or sex; emotional distress; on-going conflict; disagreements in parenting; betrayal, and infidelity. My approach not only focuses on each individual but also the dynamic that is created by both individuals. My priority is to create a safe space, so that any issue can be addressed openly and without judgement. We work collaboratively to form mutually agreed upon goals, identify the core issues, and team-up against the cycle that couples often find themselves in. My hope is that couples leave therapy with tools to communicate more effectively and a stronger foundation based on trust, so that couples are able to turn to each other in times of stress and are more equipped to handle any other obstacle that may come their way.
